It was a great time for us to meet many PostgreSQL people around the world in PostgresConf Silicon Valley 2018 held at Hilton, San Jose, on this Oct. 15-16. We’ve enjoyed communicating with a lot of people who are interested in graph database and especially, in AgensGraph.
PostgreSQL Conference Silicon Valley 2018 is the very first conference in Silicon Valley ran by PostgresConf (https://postgresconf.org/)(Blog/SNS) following PostgresConf US 2018(Jersey City), PostgresConf US 2018 in Nepal(Dhulikhel), PostgresConf Philly: Mini2018(Philadelphia/United States), and PostgresConf South Africa 2018(Johannesburg).
This two-day conference(Oct. 15th and 16th) was considered a development conference where its focus was introducing the PostgresConf experience to new attendees and partners with world-class content.
Many sponsors aimed to reach out to more companies and show their new technologies and ideas to more than 200 developers and representatives gathered from around the world, including big players like Microsoft, Amazon Web Service, Pivotal, and etc. in PostgreSQL geography.
Bitnine presented how a graph database can make a noticeable ‘difference’ in the market through its PostgreSQL nature that offers a comprehensive environment for utilizing both the relational and the graph data model.
And the latter half of our session brought one powerful use case of AgensGraph in UN’s humanitarian activity for helping the hunger in the world, giving out a nice clue for where and how AgensGraph can be used for doing amazing things and thus making our lives much better.
Many did have a great interest in AgensGraph for its fascinating features like stability, performance, and full compatibility with PostgreSQL. Some big names in IT industry who were there even asked us that they are thinking of getting out of the contract they previously engaged with one of our competitors; they say our presentation at this conference was kind of a stunning experience and totally blew up their minds.
AgensGraph is a graph database which is basically a fork of PostgreSQL so that it adds many valuable benefits and various features of PostgreSQL like stability, reliability, and enterprise-ready tools to graph database. Therefore, businesses would benefit from its support for both relational and graph data model which enables solving the highly complex business problems with sophisticated analytical methods.
