Bitnine sponsored 5th graph database meet up. They consist of DBA, Data Scientist and VAR Manager etc. Most of them are interested in the graph database. We also invited special guest Clark Richey from FactGem as the speaker of this event. Our meetup had two sessions of speech.
In the first session, Dr. Kim introduced AgensGraph to our member and had a presentation regarding to benchmark comparing performance with Neo4j. Dr. Kim made sure that AgensGraph is far superior to others in terms of execution speed. After the presentation, they understood why AgensGraph has good performance comparing to our database platforms. AgensGraph Unified query interface for Graphs and Relations: SQL + Cypher. It is a big deal for graph database to support multi-model.
In main session, Clark Richey, who is CTO of FactGem(https://factgem.com/), indicated the needs of data platform and use & cases applied to Fortune 500. He also introduced their graph data platform made of whiteboard R, update R and Dashboard R. FactGem delivers a platform that allows users to easily create their own data visualization and analysis application on top of Neo4j without having to learn Cypher or any other programming language. FactGem believes that data analysis should be readily accessible to data scientists and laymen alike. Graph databases allow for an unprecedented ability to query across all of the hyper connected data that drives today’s businesses. FactGem makes it possible for all users to easily model and load their own data and to create their own web application.
It was very informative event. Our next meetup would be held on Feb 15. Don’t forget to reserve your seat on our meetup page in advance before it is too late.
